There are almost 200 countries in the World - and nearly all of them consider themselves as democratic. Obviously most of them do not even fulfill the basics of a democratic state (according to an UN report). For me it is a kind of a proof that the term "democracy" is more a marketing mask of a politicians than an actual rule of law condition of a country.
This leads me to a conclusion that the "democracy" is probably one of the most flexible and moldable forms of governing that is strongly associated with a current government of each country.
In my project I'm telling a story of a world that is gradually shifting from democracy into totalitarianism.
The title "Deflection" is a term taken from engineering science and it is a degree to which a structural element is displaced under a load.
